Today's case is the resolution of the scarlet series! I really enjoyed this episode a whole lot. :D It was very interesting (Even though my translations tend to fall short sometimes on this episode, but other than that, I understood pretty much all of it, really. Kinda... :p)
Conan: Oi, Oi, Marina. Just what do you mean by "Kinda"?
Marina: It's means exactly what I mean. But I swear I studied my Japanese vocabulary over the weekend.
Conan: Uh-huh, yeah sure you did...
I took a lot of screencaps for this episode, and when I mean a lot, I mean a lot. XP I couldn't help myself, the episode was just soo good, and there were a lot of scenes that made perfect screencaps for my blog. I was like "Oh! I'll just take this screencap here, and oh! This scene would make a fine screencap for my blog! And of course! We can't forget to take screencaps of Conan-kun." xD!
Conan: Oh God, please kill me now.
Marina: Don't wish for bad things to happen to you, Conan-kun. That's like Karma
Conan: I wish I had Karma.
Akai Shuichi made his appearance in this episode. He told Jodie and Camel about the investigation, and told Camel where to go to. It was pretty cool seeing Akai making an appearance as his true self after such a long time, even though he only had a few minutes of screentime.
Meanwhile, Amuro was still investigating Subaru. Knowing on how he couldn't find enough evidence to prove he was a fake Subaru, he decided it was time to leave. However, Subaru left the TV on to a channel where the awards show took place. Kudo Yusaku appeared, and he stood up to the mic to talk about his best selling mystery novel, and how he thought that the works of a detective and mystery writer is soo awesome. Ran noticed on how Shinichi's father was acting kinda... well... "Cute".
When Amuro decided to leave, Subaru went upstairs to a room that was completely dark, and told Conan that it was okay to come out now. One of my favorite scenes in this episode came up where Conan was slouching on the desk and saying "I'm tired..." Haha, that's something I would do after a long tiring day of work and investigating. :p Anyways, That Subaru is more than meets the eye, since Amuro was correct all along. He wasn't the true Subaru Okiya. However, he was actually none other than the famous mystery writer, Kudo Yusaku! The Yusaku on TV was actually his wife disguised as him. They used exactly what Amuro deduced, a neck brace, and mask around their necks and faces to disguise their voices. Pretty cool, huh?
The investigation soon comes to a close, when suddenly a case occurs. However, this case is merely just a cute little riddle made by the professor. The detective boys came to Subaru's house to see if he can solve it for them. Apparently Conan was there too by coincidence and said "You guys? What are you doing here?" And they explained their story. After a little conversation took place about the trick, Conan and Subaru (via Yusaku) has figured out the Professor's trick!
This episode was soo good! I'm very curious on who this "RUM" might be. When Yusaku showed Jodie and Camel the message Mizuhashi Rena sent to them, the only letters appeared where "RUM". And Yusaku explained that the suspicious character has one eye open and the other eye closed, and that he's masculine with feminine features. Conan was also secretly listening in on this. I wonder on who this "RUM" might possibly be. There's a lot of talk going on in a lot Detective Conan forums I visit that some people believe that RUM could possibly be Hyoue Kuroda, or even three people, considering all of the letters are capitalized. (< I was thinking that this could possibly be it, and actually shared my thoughts about it on a forum. I don't think it's correct, though, but it's a good theory that could be possible.) But as like everyone else, I'm surprised that we can't figure out on whom this "RUM" is exactly, considering they give out obvious hints. Strange, right? But that's what I like about Detective Conan. You may think the hints are quite obvious, but it takes some major time and criticial thinking to solve the answer.
There will be a few breaks starting next month, so episode 784 won't air until the 11th of July. (Sadness. D:) But at a least they closed the original air time with an awesome arc this month. :D Anyways, next episode will be "Welcome to the Orihime club!" Sounds pretty interesting. I'll sure be here to blog about it once it airs! :D - Marina
